Humpback whale watching
Every year humpback whales come to Uramba Bahía Málaga National Natural Park, right off Juanchaco and Ladrilleros, to mate and give birth. The season runs from July to October, with August and September usually the best months. The boat trip lasts about 3–4 hours with a local guide; life jackets are provided. In the 2026 season it cost COP 100,000 per person; 2027 prices are confirmed when you book.

How much does it cost to stay at Hotel Corina?
We offer 3-day / 2-night packages per person: Lodging Plan COP 280,000 (room plus 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners, boat not included), Beach Plan COP 410,000 (room, all meals and the boat Buenaventura – Juanchaco) and All-Inclusive Plan COP 520,000 (plus trips to Chucheros beach and La Sierpe and Las 3 Marías waterfalls).
How do I get to Ladrilleros?
Ladrilleros can only be reached by sea. Travel to Buenaventura (about 3 hours by road from Cali), take a speedboat from the tourist pier to Juanchaco (about 45 minutes) and from there walk or take a moto-taxi to Ladrilleros. Ask for Hotel Corina, "donde Doña Suly".
Is the transfer from Juanchaco to the hotel included?
No. All boats in the area arrive at Juanchaco because there is no pier in Ladrilleros. The short ride from Juanchaco to the hotel (on foot, by moto-taxi or motocarro) is paid locally. The land transfer to the Buenaventura pier is not included either.
When can I see humpback whales?
Whale season in Bahía Málaga runs from July to October; August and September are usually the best months. The 3–4 hour whale-watching boat trip can be added to any plan (COP 100,000 per person in the 2026 season).
